arezou modaressi

Arézou Modaressi (Farahmand-Razavi) is a Professor and Researcher at Soil, Structures & Materials’ Mechanics Laboratory of CentraleSupélec (formerly Ecole Centrale Paris). She has been in charge of the GEFDyn project (Unified approach to model porous materials under complex loadings) and has been actively involved in developing constitutive models for geomaterials, geo-structures and interfaces. Her research interests in numerical geomechanics have covered applications such as construction procedures: pile installation, dam construction and impounding/emptying of reservoirs, tunnelling, earthquake engineering and thermal loads where coupled multiphase and cyclic behaviour are dominant phenomena. She has participated in several national and european projects on evaluation of vulnerability to natural hazards such as earthquakes and landslides.
